CLC Landscape Design is Northern New Jersey's most-awarded design/build firm. We combine the vision of a licensed landscape architect with the craft of a master builder, all under one roof, to create outdoor spaces you'll use and love every day.
Plus three features on NBC's George to the Rescue, Houzz, The Spruce, New Jersey Monthly, Bergen Magazine, and more.

Most firms do one or the other. CLC was founded on the belief that great landscapes begin with great design ideas, and that the designer's vision deserves to be built with expert craftsmanship. So we do both. A licensed landscape architect designs your space, and our own crews, many of whom have been with us for over 20 years, bring it to life, exactly as drawn.
A free on-site consultation, then a custom plan and 3D rendering by a licensed landscape architect.
Our own award-winning crews handle every phase: grading, drainage, masonry, planting, and lighting.
We coordinate every detail and care for your landscape as it grows, season after season.

From the first idea to the finished landscape and the care that keeps it beautiful, we handle every aspect of your outdoor space.
Custom master plans and 3D renderings by licensed landscape architects.
Freeform, classic, and plunge pools, integrated into a complete backyard plan.
Bluestone and paver patios, walkways, steps, and retaining walls built to last.
Pavilions, pergolas, and decks that bring shade, structure, and architecture.
Waterfalls, ponds, and streams that bring movement and calm to your landscape.
Path, accent, and architectural lighting that extends the evening outdoors.

Excellence isn't occasional at CLC, it's a standard we've upheld for more than 50 years. Our work is judged anonymously, on merit, by our own peers and competitors, and it keeps winning.

I couldn't be happier with the backyard CLC created for us. From start to finish, the entire team, Rich Sr., Nick, Miguel, Jose, Enrique and Yuner, did an amazing job and exceeded our expectations. Their workmanship was excellent.
We used CLC to design and construct our backyard patio and landscape and couldn't have been happier. All of the plants and trees have grown more gorgeous over time, our backyard is like an oasis. This year we hired them back for a riverbed and more plantings. Professional, friendly, and very hard-working.
As new homeowners, we found CLC and were impressed from the first call. Eric took the time to share his vision for transforming the space. His ideas were creative, practical, and perfectly suited to our home. The result exceeded my expectations.
My wooden retaining wall was eroding on a steep hill. CLC provided a stone retaining wall solution and completed a difficult project beautifully. Rich Sr. and the team were a pleasure to work with.
We had our front foundation beds replaced by CLC in early November. Eric did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price, and the workmanship was professional and timely. I can't wait for spring to see the perennials bloom.
CLC Landscape Design has been led by the Cording family for over 50 years. Founder Rich Cording Sr. is a licensed landscape architect; his sons Rich Jr. and Eric design and manage projects alongside a team of seven full-time landscape architects and designers. Many of our craftsmen have been with us for over 20 years, and some clients for over 30, a continuity that shows in every landscape we build.
